The Junior High has its own facilities with two small ensemble rooms, main rehearsal hall, 4 practice rooms, and large storage room. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Band Director to continue to support the growth and development of our band program. The Assistant Band Director will work alongside the head director at the High School and Junior High to assist with rehearsals, performances, and student development. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom management skills, instrumental pedagogy, all while being willing to learn and grow in their craft. All qualified candidates will be considered regardless of instrument specialty. DUTIES INCLUDE: Assist the Head Band Director with daily rehearsals, sectionals, and performances. Help organize band-related events such as concerts, competitions, and festivals. Provide support during marching season and other extracurricular activities throughout the year at both campuses. Assigned Beginner Band Classes. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Texas Teacher Certification Experience working with high school or middle school band programs. Proficiency in one or more wind, brass, or percussion instruments. Ability to conduct and motivate students. Strong communication and organizational skills. Passion for music education and student development.
